In the 2016-17 season FC Bayern Munich once again achieved record financial results. The club turnover was 640.5 M Euros with an operating profit of 149.1 M Euros. Nearly 98 M Euros were generated from matchday revenue.
Borussia Dortmund, on the other hand, generated a total of 332.6 M Euros during the 2016-17 season of which 58.6 M were accounted from gate receipts.
With an average attendance of 42,421 spectators per match the Bundesliga achieved one of the highest attendance figures in its history. Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, the two most powerful clubs in the league consistently post impressive attendance figures.
