On June 2nd, SBI Barcelona proudly celebrated the graduation of the first cohort of the Master in Football Business & Sports Management for the MENA region at one of football’s most iconic venues, FC Barcelona’s Auditorium at Camp Nou.
Comprising of over 140 graduates, each of the successful completion of their journey is defined by ambition, commitment and a vision to become the future leader of the football business.
This first generation represents more than a graduating class. It reflects the growing demand for world-class football business education in the Middle East and SBI’s commitment to leading that transformation.

Sports market in the Middle-East is one of the fastest growing in the world:
- According to consultancy Grand View Research, the sports market for the region is set for a 16.5% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2023 to 2030.
- Not only did Qatar host the 2022 edition of The FIFA World Cup, Morocco is slated to co-host the 2030 edition with Saudi Arabia following four years later.
- According to a PwC report, football is expected to contribute over $5 billion annually to Saudi Arabia’s GDP by 2030. Also, the football industry has already created 20,000 new jobs, with projections to reach 50,000 by 2030.
