US private equity group Arctos Partners have acquired a minority stake in Paris Saint-Germain.

Financial Times reports 12.5% stake sale at a valuation of over €4bn
- Qatar Sports Investment / QSI bought PSG in 2011 for €70m. The reported current valuation of €4bn would make it over 5600% growth
- As per PSG, investment would ¨help fund growth, infrastructure & international expansion in markets like USA.
- Arctos Partners has been involved in other sports clubs / franchises throughout USA including in NBA, NHL, MLB teams. They also have a minority stake in Fenway Sports Group, owners of Liverpool FC and recently bought at stake in Aston Martin F1 team.
The football business management landscape is complex, yet Arctos Partners appears to be ready to leverage its expertise in US sports into the European football ecosystem.
