Wes Morgan

Wes Morgan, Class of 2019, gained a full understanding of the business side of football through his Master in Football Business Management at SBI. The program provided him with insights into the football sector beyond his experience as a Premier League professional, guided by top industry professionals with strong connections.
During the Master Classes, Wes benefited from expert-led sessions covering many areas of football business, from media and communications to club operations and stakeholder management. He notes that the course offers significant personal and professional development opportunities.
The program equipped him with practical knowledge he could apply immediately, enhancing his understanding of the sport both on and off the pitch.

John Buitron currently serves as Senior Digital Media coordinator at Inter Miami CF. Having initially taken several classes at SBI, he was able to experience the value of the institution firsthand through learning, connecting and gaining insights. This later inspired the transition to the Master in Football Management. Seeing alumni paving their way into leading roles at top football organizations provided motivation and direction for his own career path.
Through the program, John developed a global perspective from distinguished guest speakers who shared how their respective organizations achieved success within the football industry. What stood out to him about SBI was the mentorship component, this helped him design a personal growth strategy to elevate his career to the next level.

Turning a passion for football into a career.
Lizzie Hallam, Class of 2025, made the bold decision to leave her career in London to pursue her true passion – football. Enrolling in the Master in Football Business Management at SBI Barcelona allowed her to benefit from expert mentorship and engage in valuable self-reflection about her future career path.
Through learning from industry leaders such as Richard Lamb, Lizzie gained a holistic understanding of the football business and developed a clearer vision for her professional journey. She describes having learned a “massive amount” from the program, covering areas from sponsorship to player management.
The knowledge and experience she acquired has equipped her to succeed in her new role at Charlton Athletic F.C. in England.
