Earlier this week we travelled to the Basque Country in the north of Spain to meet with marketing executives at SD Eibar. 

We hosted a webinar with the club's Sales Manager, Ainara López de Viñaspre to learn more about SD Eibar's sponsorship structure and their overall business culture at the club.

During the session Ainara highlighted some of their main club sponsors and gave us a few examples on how they activated the partnerships.  You can see a couple of examples below:

Activation Campaign for Wiko
The brand activated the partnership by having a cow come on to the pitch and predict the winner of the match between SD Eibar and Valencia. Want to see how it was done? Check out the video below:




Activation Campaign for AVIA
The club's main sponsor is AVIA, a basque petrol company.  This time the activation consisted on creating a fake perfume that was supposed to give players a "scent for goal". Check it out below. (in Spanish)

 

 
We would like to take time to thank everyone at the club for opening their doors to the SBI team and for being such gracious hosts.  

We got to see a live match day experience at the Ipurua Stadium vs. Espanyol, saw the first team train and had some very interesting conversations with various club executives.
