Matchday Revenue Indicators: Arsenal vs. Manchester United

Share

Manchester United and Arsenal are the most powerful clubs in the world when it comes to match day revenue generation. They rank first and second respectively in this category according to the latest Deloitte Money League Report published earlier this year.

Both clubs capitalize financially from their stadiums, particularly given the high demand for tickets and the ample corporate hospitality boxes available both at the Emirates and Old Trafford. Apart from Wembley Stadium which has a capacity of nearly 90,000, Old Trafford and the Emirates are the biggest football venues in England giving them an economic advantage over other Premier League rivals such as Liverpool and Chelsea when it comes to matchday income.

One key indicator that stands out when comparing Arsenal with United is the cheapest season ticket price at the Emirates, which is nearly double than the cheapest season ticket price for Manchester United. It is well documented that Arsenal have the most expensive ticket prices in the Premier League which has made this a contentious issue among its supporters

Nevertheless, most of the other matchday indicators are quite similar when analyzing these two Premier League giants, as you can see in the infographic below.
